            Maintenance method of motor fault of electric bicycle

            3.Maintenance method

            The maintenance method of this kind of fault is to remove the motor from the electric bicycle, open the end cover, take out the stator, find out the fallen or loose magnetic steel, clean up the residual resin adhesive and rust, bond the magnetic steel with resin adhesive, and reassemble the motor.

            This kind of fault is quite common now, so we must consider reducing this kind of fault to solve the problem of magnetic steel falling off of electric bicycle fundamentally.

            4.Solution to the problem of magnetic steel shedding

            One of the solutions is to fix it with screws.Two holes are drilled in magnetic steel, and two holes are drilled and tapped in the corresponding position of stator core bracket.Each piece of magnetic steel is fixed on stator core bracket with countersunk screws, so that the problem of magnetic steel falling off will not occur.We tried to practice this idea on motors with such faults, because magnetic steel is too hard to punch holes in magnetic steel with ordinary drills.To adopt this scheme, only the motor and magnetic steel manufacturers should coordinate and reserve two holes in the production process of magnetic steel.The possible problem with this solution is that the magnetic steel has two more holes, which affects the magnetic induction intensity of the stator and makes the magnetic field of the stator not as strong as the original one.As for how much it weakens, it needs to be confirmed and measured in practice.

            The second solution is to fix with dovetail groove.The stator core bracket is cast with a mold.As long as the mold is changed in the production process, a dovetail groove is left on the stator core bracket, and then machined, so that the size of the dovetail groove meets the design requirements and the whole stator is concentric.Then, the magnetic steel is produced into a dovetail shape, and when assembling, only the magnetic steel is inserted into the groove along the axial direction, and the problem of fixing the magnetic steel is solved by a mechanical tight fit method.With this method, as long as the casting mold is improved, it is easy to assemble the magnetic steel, which saves the trouble of gluing the magnetic steel with resin, does not increase the production cost, and the magnetic steel will never fall off or loosen.Because that force of jolt and electromagnetism on magnetic steel are radial and tangential, which are fixed by dovetail groove, there is no external force in the movable axial direction of magnetic steel except artificial force.When the magnetic steel needs to be replaced because of its magnetic weakening, the magnetic steel can be easily taken out by applying force along the axial direction, and the magnetic steel can be magnetized or replaced conveniently.

            Comparing these two design schemes, the second scheme is superior, because only changing the mold has no influence on the magnetic field, and the magnetic steel will never fall off or loosen, which is also beneficial to solve the demagnetization problem of the magnetic steel.
